An intence but rewarding week
Greetings to you all,
I would have given anything to have you all be in my classes last week. Our teacher, Ed Kleiman, was really awesome. Abit on the crazy, really energenic side but his teaching was very challenging. One thing on the contentence of Ed... he would out last, while running circles around, the energiser bunny! You would have to meet him.
The weeks topic was on Prayer, yet we covered so much more then that. We reviewed who God is, abslutly sovern, who we are, nothing better then worms (the dirt of the earth), and how amazing God is that he allows us to personally talk to him, request things from him, and that he would redeam us... even though the price of redemption was so high!(sorry for the paulian sentence). The thing I learned most out of the week is that God is sovern, and all that I do, should be to Glorify God! That is the reason I was created, why everyone was created. Not because God needed us to praise and befriend him, but because he created us to glorify him. And he has designed the world to talk with and ask him for things, even though he is sovern. My Arminian/ middle of the road theology was challenged this week. If this is intresting to you, read John Pipers book, The Dangerous Duty of Delight, (it is a bit of a challenge in reading but it is really good.) I will write more of this in my update letter. If you want to recieve updates by snail mail, please email me your snail address.
One other fun thing last week was I was invited to go to the amish community to rake yards with them. It was so much fun. I consider myself a hard worker, thanks to my upbringing, but that day I was given a run for my money. The amish women made me look as if I was standing still. They are amazing. I had so much fun, and it was great to build relationships with them just to get to know them. Their community is very different then the regular amish communities because they are reaching out to the community of Libby, to be evangulilests to the town. They are very open to outsiders, and they love you for who you are. They do not judge, they are a geat example. I hope to learn alot from them. Besides I love hanging with them.
Please keep me and the team of students in your prayers as we travel to Clear Lake, IA next week and then to Slovokia and Romania in the next two weeks. I love you all and keep in touch. I am trying to stay in contact as much as I can. Thanks for your support and Have a blessed Easter. Praise God, that Jesus has risen and we worship a real living God. Our God is not Dead!

Another Week. UFFTA!
Hello to you all, Buna Sereda (good evening)
I am going to write this quick due to not starting on my homework yet and it is 11:00 pm (2300 europe time) and it is due tomarrow at 8 am. This week was amazing. We had two Old and Wise teacehers. HA HA Just kidding. Welll... not really they had become missionaries when my parents were still in dippers. They had spent time in Malasia in the 50's with the Inland China Mission, and even preached at a church near Warroad, MN. They were so special and encouraging to see their marrage and love of God.
The topic of discussion was, " Is IM's statement of faith biblical?" All of us interns agreed that Yes it was. I really enjoyed looking and seeing where in the scriptures God definatly layed out what we are to believe. It was awesome.
Another fun thing we did this week, was we had a little bit o' fun! I and a fellow intern decied that we have been much too serious ( a dangerious phrase from me :)) and we needed to laugh a bit. Sooo we dug around and found some costumes and put together outfits for each of us students. We then proceeded to show up for morning devotions dressed for fun. (see the photos below). Everyone played along, even our teachers and we had one of the best days ever.
One thing I would like to commit on are some of the photos. Some are of a walking trip I took with the dog, Braila, who I have been babysitting these last two weeks. We climbed up the mountian behind us to get a glimps of Libby. The other photos are of a cook out I did with the kids here. They had never had smores before so I took them out and made a fire to rost marshellows. I didnt plan ahead so we rosted miniy marshmellows :) it was fun. ONe of the little girls kept saying that we are going to be rosting Kapasa ( polish sauseges) so we did get out the hot dogs.
Lastly... Many of you have asked about the unexspected guest. Yes, the unexspected visitor was a Bat... it flew into the living room while all of us girls were studdying and all the girls ducked and covered while I ran around the room trying to shoo it out the door. As you could see it finaly landed on the chiminy and took a picture of it before I grabbed it with a towel and threw it out side. It was pretty neat but my roomates begged me to get rid of it insted stoping of to take a picture. :)
I love you all and miss you. feel free to write, I love getting mail. Let me know how to pray for you. God Bless you all, Katie
