I would like to show you what my town looks like in the fall. Here is a clock that runs and it is made all out of flowers. I can't believe they are still pretty half way through October. Posted by Picasa

The news this week 10-1-2005 to now

Uffda, this week has flown by. It was our first week with all the fall ministries started. Due to lack of origination skills, I didn’t write down my schedule until the end of the week! No wonder I was so tired. It is a full schedule, but so much fun. God has answered the prayers for support in a very creative way, I have a job. I have now been teaching English conversation at a language school 4 hours a week. It is a great opportunity to meet more youth students and I really enjoy being back in a classroom. The pay also helps pay my utilities and rent so more of my support can go directly to ministry needs! Praise God and how he answers prayer.
Last Tuesday, Ania and I went to the Wloclawek city animal shelter and got a dog. She is a beautiful chocolate brown 100% Polish mutt. Ania wanted an animal for when we are home alone, for our running, and for the students to bond with. After a lot of prayer I think God gave us a perfect dog. When we first got her, she smelled worse then a wet sheep and we couldn’t bath her for two days. She also had the typical ailments of a dog from an outdoor shelter that was not fun to deal with but she is really starting to grow on us. Again God answered prayers in an amazing way.
A fun fact: Last week I went to Bydgoszcz, a town about an hour and half away, to meet a friend of a family friend. It was so great to see another Minnesotan here in Poland. Kim also is working with youth and she had great ideas and fun stories to swap. I love seeing how God take care of our emotional needs, like having someone close by who understands northern Midwestern culture.

All I can say is yet again,
“God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, he’s so good to me!”

Durring the corse of the day... The soccer ball would end up in the pond at least 20 times. Each time the students had a more intresting stragtigy to retrieve it. Lets just say, in this weather, striping to their undeware and wadding in only happend once! :) Posted by Picasa
